Welcome to Maxy Brook Homestead!
Hello! We’re Joe, Elise, and Luna! On a typical
weekend, you might find us canoeing a remote
river in Maine, building a chicken coop, foraging
fiddleheads, or crafting our next DIY project.
Our goal is to gradually transition to an earth-
friendly, self-reliant lifestyle.

While we love dedicating our time to our 16-acre
homestead in Maine, we also make sure to balance all that hard work with plenty of fun. So on this blog you'll see lots of tips and ideas for homesteading as well as highlights of our adventures.

Despite our passion for homesteading, we both have full-time jobs, a mortgage, and various responsibilities.
